My FS14

Post by Julkkis »

Hi. Been around for awhile, and finally took couple of pics of my FS14 started, here you go.

Four months of winter break before i get to fiberglass... I originally hoped to do that before it gets too cold, but then stumbled on some delivery problems...

Here you will find a map which gives a good idea of where amateur boatbuilders are to be found in greatest numbers:

Furthest north I have seen is above the artic circle in Norway and furthest south way down the bottom of Chili. Wierdest place is of course Outer Mongolia... :help:

Hmm... Yeah. That picture shows me that i'm at least pretty close being north of everything ;-)

http://maps.google.fi/maps?f=d&hl=fi&ge ... 0&z=2&om=1

That shows where i'm at. Just few K:s from the seashore, and approx ten K:s up the red arrow. I think that the most furthest up red dot slightly touches my location.

Well, the one beyond the arctic circle is me. Building a DE23 for the 3.rd year and will finish next spring. Bought a Suzuki DF140 a month ago so now there is no way back.
Living up north I probably should change my alias from Bear to Polarbear....

Bjørn at almost 70 Deg north

Finally had some progress an a few crappy cellphonecam images....
It seems to be getting too cold for epoxying, last batch took two days to dry :-( I was hoping to launch her before winter.... Well, maybe there's still time :-)
