SB18 on the water

Post by Robert Olson »

Hi all, it's been a long time since I added anything to this forum. I added a few new pictures to my Photo page, so if anyone is interested here is the link to the page. I don't have any pictures under sail and it maybe next year before I am able to take some.

https://picasaweb.google.com/rolson519/ ... tionPhotos#

The boat sails quite well and is very responsive.
The launching went very well. I had few adjustments to make that were very minor. The only real issue I have with the boat is when I retract the swing keel. I have a binding issue which will not allow the keel to retract fully. I will begin to resolve this issue when the weather goes south for the winter. In other words shortly! When I pull the boat on to the trailer, the slides right up into the keel box.

If there are any questions, I will do my best to answer.

Sitting on water she looks a lot bigger than I imagined. She looks powerful, too. Can't wait to see her under sail. Congratulations. 8)

Nice photo journal, liked every pic and wish there were more. quick question, with all the exposed epoxy, what did you use for a UV inhibitor?
