Hey Lon, forgive me if I've asked this of you before...
But where in Montana do you run your FL14? I'm about to launch mine, and I'd like to know where you use yours.

PK78 Rope
Hey people! Kelly here is my next door neighbor! He´s farther along on his boat than I am on my PK78. So far we´ve been having a lot of fun talking boat building. It´s nice to see him chime in (and get razzed, too).

Kelly, BTW, if I don´...

Just Right planning trip to Bahamas
Hey Justin, I have to say that I´m really bummed to miss you at Mead Madness this year! I´m finally going and you´re not going to be there. Oh, well, maybe next year we´ll meet in the Bahamas. Have a safe journey, and post some pictures when you get back!

I used lengths of 1 by 3" spruce, I think, or maybe cypress, I can´t remember, from Home Depot. I scarfed them to length. There wasn´t much curve to the FL14, so they bent ok with some encouragement. Also, about 15 clamps per side! I made the spaced inner, ones of the same thing, and also an in...

Good eye Leon! That is, in fact, a 1984 Honda GL1200 Goldwing Aspencade, and it´s all covered with sawdust!

As for my boat dollies, I made them up from left over 2x4s that I had laying around. I got the wheels from Home Depot, and I think they´re 2 inch ones or so. If I were to do it again, I...

Here´s a shot of my FL14 from last October. It is now sitting right-side up, and the inside is all sanded and waiting for paint. I have to do a few epoxy touch-ups, but need to wait for the weather to get just a tad warmer. Boy, oh boy. Will winter ever end around here? I can´t wait to add the oarlo...

I cut the free AOL disks that end up in my mail all the time for fillet spreaders.

They come in two sizes, too, so I have two easy inside fillet makers, and I can cut them with my pruning shears for outside ones.

Cabinet scrapers
I was wondering where I might find a cabinet scaper? I´ve heard that they work great for scraping globs of googe off of wood. I´ve been sanding them down (and trying to avoid them in the first place), but a metal scraping tool that would just whack them right off would be great.

So, how about...
