Thanks, I hope to be out on Jordan Lake around then. I've never been to any other lakes in the area, where do you go?

Re: Flotation

That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that.

I just wish I had taken the time to take care of this before I had epoxied the seat tops down.

Flotation foam - FL12

It may be a bit late for this question, but here goes. I'm debating on how much foam I need to use in the FL12. I want to maximize storage, but also make it "unsinkable". I'm not going to be using an outboard immediately, but I'd like the option in the future. That said, I want to have the...

Well, I scraped and scraped, and eventually got off all the bad epoxy. No harm done... except some wasted epoxy, time and a little hit to the ego. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/suntzu_2002/IMG_2672.jpg It was amazing, even uncured the epoxy was tough stuff, and that skeg was very difficult ...

I've since switched to MAS and the calibrated pumps are one pump to one pump. So, when gluing on my skeg I have epoxy with twice the hardener then there shoul...

Well, the boat had been put on hold for a while. Things got really crazy around here, and I've finally been able to get some more work done. I started fairing the outside, and thankfully I remembered that I hadn't put the skeg on yet! 8O So, I set out and epoxied that down today. It's amazing, that ...

You don't need the overall... you want to measure from the middle out. You're going from the butt-joint towards the bow, and then from the butt-joint towards the stern.

Check out the tutorial if you haven't seen it yet.

Is getting a custom tank welded up out of the question?

I imagine however, that would be cost prohibitive.
