Re: Narfi's 750

Thank you, that is a generous offer. My sell by date can't be far off, so I just dream about trips like that. Besides our currency is the laughing stock of the world, something like R15 to the dollar. No wonder our young people and sportsmen are leaving for the northern hemisphere. Take care and sta...

Re: Narfi's 750

Interesting life you live, and I notice you are 'living it'. Lando is building up a wealth of knowledge, experience and memories, he is one lucky boy. Here at the southern tip of Africa, all is as well as can be expected. We are in the midst of a devastating drought, we have 15% total capacity of wa...

I couldn't help myself, I have to ask how Narfi is getting on with his aircraft project?

Re: Narfi's Zenith CH750 Super Duty

Narfi, I am the joker in our golfing 4 ball, nothing morbid about me, I have a very practical outlook on life, you have to, living in Africa. I would love to be able to do everything still left on my wish list, but I realize some things will remain on the wish list. Often wonder how you deal with th...

Your 'sailboat' looks like a fun project, I am sure you and your son will get a lot of pleasure out of using it when completed.
In my my younger days, 50 years ago I built a 37ft steel yacht to dive the Indian Ocean, what a project.

Re: Narfi's Zenith CH750 Super Duty

Hi Narfi, I built a GV15 for fishing the Zambezi in Zambia. I was born there, did my National Service in the army way back in '59, worked on the railways and the mines. I live in South Africa now, but waiting for an opportunity to go North to fish, but Covid is making things difficult with border cr...

Re: To my fellow Pepperheads

I share your taste for sauces and chutneys, I am in the process of starting a bottling business for chillie sauces and jams. Check out Chillichumps website, he has some interesting recipes and he comes from the same part of the world that I do. Our chillie's are all grown organically in an aquaponic...

Re: Anyone Fishing?

That description of the barramundi sums up a Tiger perfectly. Tiger are not really edible, they are OK if you can handle the bones, and the flesh has a sweetish taste, so most are released. I am not sure whether you know much about them as you are a salt water man, but the the big ones are all femal...

Re: Anyone Fishing?

Barraman, thank you for your informative posts on fishing in Aus. Just to add a bit of spice to the conversation, I would venture that the Zambezi Tiger is by far the best sport fishing to be had. If you are brave enough to try fishing the Congo River for Goliath Tiger, you would be moving up a stan...
