Tanks on the deck just get in the way. My .02. Wood weighs about 40 lbs per cubic foot. Foam depending on the density can vary. 8 lb is twice as heavy as 4 lb and twice as dense. To see if the hull has "oil canned" you can place a straight edge on the keel to see if there are any gaps. You can do the same on the running surfaces from the transom forward to see if it has developed a "hook". Here is a link to a 78 20' Proline flatback rebuild over on Classi...

Here is another idea for the latches, I used on of these on my anchor locker when I re-cored it. It lays really flat so its not in the way as much and has yet to pop open on its own.

I know you have already crimped them but if you haven't done them all I like to fill the shrink with silicone then shrink. It seals a lot better and pretty much cures water and or air from ever getting in there. Just a suggestion .02! I really like those hulls and all your work is really showing! I ...
