Re: transducer location NV23

On my DE23 I mounted the transducer totally inboard. I made an epoxy/glass tube so that the transducer fitted thightly in the tube. The tube was then epoxyglued to the outer epoxy/glass layer with an angle so that it was perpendicular to the water. Then the tube was filled halfways up with ordinary ...

Re: Puget Sound DE 25

David My DE23 was built a lot heavier than the plans shows. I live in a much colder climate and my entire boat is insuated all over above the water line. It was launched last summer and I have some performance numbers to show you. First I have to mention that I have installed 2 fuel tanks that holds...

Re: DE23 launch

I think this is WOT and about 29/30 knots. But it does not change very much when slowing down to about 20/22 knots. I can verify that the transition to planing speeds is smooth without any excessive change of trim and the boat is very easy handling when cruising in comfortable 20/25 knots. When crui...

Re: DE23 launch

Thanks everyone. It sure is satisfying to finish a project like this. There were times when progress was very low, but I finally made it. Tom, I'm very pleased with your analysis and advise regarding the correct prop and I will try the 17". Is there a difference if I go for a stainless prop ? S...

Re: DE23 launch

Tom My engine is the Suzuki DF140. And my boat is heavier than Jaques 1134kg, more likely 1400kg. Then you put in some 200l petrol, 25l freshwater, etc.etc. I think I end up around 1700kg. And I will have a new prop, probably a SS. What do you think about 0,9 l/nm ? Is this a reasonable figure ? :do...
