Re: Corsair 13 Mast and Boom questions
Thank you for the advice on the Mast and the sails foot. I have decided to go with a one piece mast ,and remove the bolt rope from the foot of the sail. I will try it loose footed for now. Will provide pictures this spring and summer. I hope to have the boat finished this year.

Corsair 13 Mast and Boom questions
I am about ready to order the mast and boom for my Corsair 13 Sailboat from Dwyer Mast Co. The mast is the DM1 profile and will be 19'8" long. Would it be good or bad for the boat, to have it in two pieces with a splice or one long piece ? I can save alot on shipping when its two pieces. Last q...

Re: Corsair 13 Mast
Well i read and re-read your advise about the masts and also got a book at the library to study about it. I think now i understand why masts can be so critical. Got to look at the used mast and it was a 3x4 inch round w/slot. Used my new found knowledge and did not buy it. I have spent a lot of time...

Corsair 13 Mast
Is it possible to use a mast with a bigger width than what is stated on the plans ? The plan gives a 2 3/8 inch round tube or can a 3 inch or a 3x4 inch mast work ok on the boat. Can get a great great deal on a used mast. Please advise

Re: Work area needed for a GF 16
Good luck with Momma being happy with building the boat in the garage and her car outside. Guess what she will say when she gets wet from a hard rain, or lots of snow on the car. My boat will go under the deck come winter. I know who's the boss in my family.

Re: Exceptable place for battery
I was intending to brace that area and between the bulk heads under mast partner area. Just need a opening big enough to clear the smallest side of the battery, then flip the battery up and in to the case. Sounds easy !!! I hope it is.

Re: Exceptable place for battery
I like to sail on the lakes in missouri during the middle of the week. Little or no boats on them at that time of week. The CR13 has a small interior space and no room to store oars. Need something to get you back to the dock when the wind is dead. I won't consider a small outboard motor, don't need...

Exceptable place for battery
I am now at the point to wire my CR13 for a trolling motor. Will run 6 awg wire back to the transom for a plug in, for the trolling motor. My question is about battery placement. Would i have problems buy placing the battery up forward with the mast ? The battery will be in a battery box. I am worri...
