Re: Weight and balance adjustment
Thanks Tom ! Sorry for the delay, work is crazy (a good thing) I believe my COG is slightly aft of design, I have a double console and although did my best during the build to follow the great advice on this forum, do not have a lot of options due to built in fuel tank etc. For length of waterline, ...

Re: Weight and balance adjustment
Thanks Capeman. Unfortunately I dont have an option unless I go buy an older 2 stroke - which I am adverse to as I seek the best reliability I can. Strength is not a concern, Jaques gave me a conservitive layup schedule (foam core) and I used top quality transom foam, and even substituted one of the...

Weight and balance adjustment
Good day all. I have a question around how much to adjust for a potentially new engine that will weigh about 100 pounds more. I am going to buy new, but unfortunately they are all heavier now, likely also because they are all 4 strokes. So, I have my boat almost right as it is now, FYI on a 10"...

Re: Mark's PH18 in Toronto
Update on weight and balance - moved my three group 31's up to what was the anchor and fender locker and it worked out perfect. See picture below from the long weekend up on Georgian Bay. I think the smallmouth bass like it better too! I can tell the difference in ride and no more porpoising when I ...

Re: Mark's PH18 in Toronto
Hi Casey. I got the mount and most all of my bling from Eddie Marine. For weight, Jaques mentioned the foam core may actually be a little heavier due to the additional glass required. Bone empty not even hatch covers I was exactly 2000 pounds including the trailer, not sure what the trailer weighs. ...

Re: Mark's PH18 in Toronto
Sorry for the delay Casey, just saw this, must have missed it in my trolling ... If you want to cruise she is fine. If you want to fly on calm mornings / blast off at bass tournaments no. Mine tops out just below 40 MPH trimmed and jacked with 13 pitch 4 blade stainless Evinrude prop. I could possib...
