Re: Fast Skiff 17 - FS 17 - Metric plans - Ft. Myers, FL
From what I can see of the build notes, if you have mold A mounted to the very front of the jig then it would be 35 1/2" from the end of the jig(basically stern side of A) to the bow side of B. It sounds like you are on the right track. If I may make a suggestion, try measuring as the notes say...

Not trying to save or scrimp by, just trying to calculate my order and get the big stuff all in one go. I pl...

Re: Another what boat for me????
Thanks! Putting together a plan for an order...just a couple of questions... 1. What is the freeboard depth? 2. Plywood on the BOM covers the hull (gunnels(sp?), sole and framing), just not any add-ons? 3. Assuming the answer to question #2 is yes, then I need to add plywood for the two seat bases a...

Re: OB19 build in Texas******A Boat is never done
Peter, I had the same thought! I think it looks good with that "cabin" on there. Nice top Steven. If your ever out towards tawakoni let me know. Maybe there will still be enough water to launch your boat.

Rebuilding axle hubs?
I'm in the process of converting a boat trailer into a flatbed trailer. Starting to cleanup/rebuild the hubs. Where would i find some kind of ID number on the hub, in order to get the bearing and seal specs? I know I can take the bearings down to the bearing supply and they will measure it...just be...

Re: Finish on 3/8 " ply
CL,not to detract from the original post, but I'm putting in a new sole in my speed boat and was going with a very similar layout as what you have done in the pictures. Can you elaborate a little on those seat mounts and how you secured the studs in them? Much appreciated

Re: Cutting into Rear Bulkhead (P19)
ive read before that a hole in a "frame" could be cut as long as a 3" lip was left...im wondering if you raised your tank up to almost the highth of the stringer then cut the hole in the frame if that would be acceptable.....then you'd be leaving a lip around the bottom between the ed...
