Hey Tom,
I just ordered the prop today. I've been sick the last week or so and haven't gotten outside to finish anything up. Will post pics of completed boat here shortly and try and get it in the water before the end of the year and will update on the performance.

Re: texasrds OD18 build mid-coast Texas
Well, I'll give a try at describing what I did for getting the T-Top legs installed. I must have had way to much coffee when I took my limited pics as most came out blurry but here the best of them. I have gone through a variety of ways of mounting the T-Top including the manufacturers recommendatio...

Re: texasrds OD18 build mid-coast Texas
Alright guys. I'll be ordering the stainless steel PowerTech prop this week. Drilled 16 holes in a perfectly good sole of the boat this weekend and got the T-Top lower legs installed. Now I have to move the boat out of the garage to finish installing the T-Top and install the motor.

Re: texasrds OD18 build mid-coast Texas
Hey Tom, thanks for taking the time to put together the information on the prop. It really helped and I appreciate it! I will be talking to PowerTech shortly. The price is a little scary compared to many others but I'll give them a shout and see what they can do. A newbie in the shallows with oyster...

Re: texasrds OD18 build mid-coast Texas
It is time to put the motor on the boat and get it all connected. Tom - I'm in need of a prop and wanted to check and get your thoughts on a place to start. I know you mentioned earlier in my thread something in a 14/15 pitch. The motor is a Mercury 60 elpt four stroke with standard rotation weighin...

Re: OD18 - NH
Your build is looking great. Glad to see another OD18 in the works. I had the same access / finishing issue with the spray rails and finally ended up just finishing the side that was "up" at the time and figured I would finish them once I flipped the boat. Well - I'm 98% done now with the ...

Here is the latest on the Port Aransas Wooden Boat festival that was scheduled in a couple of weeks. Via email as of today: The Show Has Been Postponed The Port Aransas Wooden Boat Festival is not going to be held as planned after all. Re: OD18 - Bouyancy foam pouring technique
I know this is about a month behind but I also found when pouring the foam (and yes mix and pour very quickly), I cut a couple of pieces of plywood that will cover each of your compartments your filling (and wrap with plastic/tape so foam doesn't stick) and place on top of the compartment after you ...
