Any recent news on the panga design? The more research I do the more I want to build one of these.

I really like what I've seen so far about this boat. I'd like to get more info on how it can be used (inshore, nearshore, offshore, recreation, etc.). If it's as versatile as I think it is put me down for a set of plans as well.

Sounds good. The lake down the road doesn't allow outboards but I figured I'd still go with the GV13 in case I ever want to buy a small motor for some other lakes.

Thanks for the quick reply.

GV13 with a trolling motor

I'm trying to get an idea of how a GV13 would run with just a low budget minn-kota 40lb thrust trolling motor on it.

Thanks

How shallow are you wanting to go? Is this a fishing only boat? I went through similar thought processes over the winter between the XF20, OD18 and GF18. The XF20 was simply too one dimensional for me, the OD18 wasn't as roomy as I would have liked so I decided to go with the GF18.

I'm not sure if it would work for the XF20 but if someone were absolutely certain they needed poly sheathing on their hull maybe a mounting framework could be installed in the boat. Basically 2x2's incorporated into the interior of the hull for mounting the poly sheets. That way you've got a bit mor...

Am I crazy, or am I the only one who buys the plans for the plans sake? I just like looking at the work that's gone into them, and getting ideas from them for the boats I do build, and if I get around to building them all someday, great. I've got six sets, and I've only built one boat. Keep 'em com...
