Re: Butt Block placement for OB 15

Re: Did i purchuse the right plans for me? ph16

Hi Flea, I have been down there on Morton bay several times and fished the Tangalooma Classic tournament in the early 90's. Yeah it can get rough on the bay as the ride over to Tangalooma in a big sportfishing boat was not exactly smooth. I think I would go with the FS17 as it should handle the cho...

Re: Boat Name

Re: Don't do it, he says...

Ok, like everything, you can look at the positives or just be a knocker... I'm still building my first S & G boat... If it only lasts 1 year, there are a few boats on here that should have been junked many years ago... No water take up... the ply is FULLY encapsulated in epoxy... Fairing is the ...

Re: Awlgrip highbuild primer

When I last used AwlGrip, I liked this high build primer... The trouble with any paint you spray on, the whole surface gets the same thickness of paint. So it depends on how much sanding you want to do to achieve filling the weave. I read the data sheet, I used a bigger nozzle than they say, a 2.5mm...

Re: A Cracker built FS18

I was given a hint about checking the sheer line while the hull is still upside down. Take a picture from as far back as you need to get the side profile of the boat, put it on the computer and turn the picture upside down, (rotate the picture, not the whole computer  ) Now you get a better ide...
