My FL14 is stiched together & ready for seams. There is alot of info. here on that process & I am comfortable starting/doing that. This is my first boat & I have worked on small wood projects in the past. I painted a few times, when I had to. I need some input on the following process; 1...

Can't stand the thought of a boat with no drainage from the front to the back! I will do the Foam option. Thinking about this; Prior to seat top install, cut 3/4" holes in mid seat frames (low & at each side, near chine). Install PVC pipe from bow frame to stern frame. Then I can still fill...

If I scribe the bottom, from the assembled sides, do it from the inside or outside of the sides & transom.
If I scribe/cut to the outside, there will not be a gap for fillet (outer) & will make a sharp edge, if not rounded.

Just got FL14 plans & did quick review (Hrs). Didn't see a specific location for the bottom panel seam (Butt Lock Center). Is there a specific location? If Butt Locks run flush to edge of side/bottom panels, then bottm & side seams must offset min. of 8", right? Any common dumb mistakes...
