Re: New canoe - HW 14
Did you find it tippy? http://www.amateurboatbuilding.com/articles/building/hiawatha/index.html Tony Hi I have used various Coleman / Old town type canoes and I would say my HW14 was probably a bit more tippy. As my other half tends to want to be more of a 'passenger' than take an active role I fee...

Re: New canoe - HW 14
Hi
I have lowered the front seat and moved it back about 12 inches (300mm). My wife now feels a bit more confident when there are two of us on board.
I propose to stick a couple of inflatable buoyancy bags under the seats at some point
I have manged to upload one pic to the gallery.

New canoe - HW 14
Hi
Sea tested our Hiawatha canoe on the Thames today. It was a beutiful day to be on the river and the canoe was loads of fun. I had better get it finished (properly) before the summer runs out
Have fun wherever

Hi
Has anyone built a Vagabond in the UK? I would like to find out more about how they sail / perform. The 'Just Right' web pages and those of the other builders are inspiring.

Habib's pictures are very exciting and well worth viewing
