Re: HMX 19
Gun whales cut on one side, bow cover cut, coated and glued in place. Will cut the other side and then coat. Once the butt blocks are glued I can get them installed. Running out of things to do. I will be ready to flip it over soon but the weather is not going to co-operate. Once the car shelter is ...

Re: HMX 19
Need to laminate bow interior tonight and install cleats and reinforcement panels.
I bought a set of side mount lights for the bow. Still debating if I am going to use them.

Re: HMX 19
Glued rear hatch cover. Still need to find a hatch just the right size that may need to handle
someone standing on it.
Installed gunwale cleats, coated them with epoxy and installed the covers as well on 1 side.

A little over 4 years later, kitchen, bathroom, windows, doors and roof renovations and I finally have some time to work on my boat. Started taping sole and coating with resin. Need to order more supplies. Will post pictures at the end of the week.

Re: Joe's P19
Doing the same to my HM19, I got the CX19 upper cabin section plans no charge included with with my plans (some mods required). I renamed it a HMX19. I built a model of the modified boat, see my album, listed under HMX19. I love the look of the soft cover too.

Re: Epoxy pigment
Thanks for the quick response. The lettering is in a depression so once the depression is filled i'm hoping it will self level and hide the print at least.

Epoxy pigment
Has anyone used the black epoxy pigment? I am considering using the tinted epoxy for an application at work where I need to fill a small detent to hide some embossed print. Is the black dark enough to make the epoxy non-translucent?

Re: Cutting into Rear Bulkhead (P19)
I had the same problem with the same tnk with my HM19. I cut the bulkhead allowing the tank connection to pass through the bulkhead. built a small frame inside the motorwell compartment with proper drainage holes (HM is a flat bottom hull) and foam in front to fill the 6"gap. The tough part was...

Re: Anchor Windlass
Thanks for all the info, lots to digest. I think i'll add an anchor locker with lots of room for some line and a good chain. We anchor frequently in some strong current to fish, I was concerned about such thin line. The chain will make a world of difference while anchored in a current, digs in nicely.
