Hello Jacques, I`m thinking of building another boat. I like the cx19 , but it`s too tight in my garage. Would a cx18 be something that you could do? thanks.

I have a Suzuki 4 stroke 70 on my ob17. She sits down a little in the stern, but I love that 4 stroke! In the water I fish in, I wouldn`t want to go any faster than that 70 takes me!

I used Systems 3 on my ob17 everywhere (bottom, etc) .I usually make 3 or 4 trips per season in which the boat is moored 2-4 days. Not a hint of a problem after 6 years. Used graphite on my river drift boat, very,very tough.

Just wondering why the skeg would be cut back 12 -18 in from transom? I ran mine almost all the way back on my ob17 and everything seems to work fine.

Always good to hear from ob17 builders. I just completed my 4th season and 1,200 hours on Rose Sea.
