Re: Anyone Fishing?

Made it about 3 miles offshore to some of the artificial reefs off of the end of Cape San Blas / Mexico beach. Bottom fishing in about 30 feet of water only yielded some small sharks, some angelfish a few pinfish., I will wait for calmer weather to go further to the deeper reefs. Had a great time wi...

fuel hose / ethanol

Hello all ! I have been away from the site for a couple of years it seems. It is great to see a few old names around and lots of new ones ! I have been cleaning my boat OD 16, in preparation for a trip to St. Joe bay/ Cape San Blas and noticed that the accessible ends of the fuel hose are feeling a ...

Re: Jacques' Camp Cruiser

Still watching this one.... I also like the other " camper " boats here as well. Teenagers and cars and work are filling up spare time and money right now.

Re: Plumbertucks construction class

One afternoo...

Re: Tide chart help

Lots of great wisdom here. I will try and shoot a video and maybe YouTube it of the od in the inlet.... Never done it but there is always a first, I have my 14 year old daughter along, I am sure she can. Heck I need her inthe boat anyway and away from teenage boys on the beach... Thanks all for your...

Re: Tide chart help

I was pretty good at land orienteering and could find my way around with a map and compass ( remember before gps). And have always had an interest in nautical charts and generally spend a good bit of time studying all the maps I can before heading out, this little inlet is not bouyed, posted, poles,...

Re: Tide chart help

Thanks. We are staying in a home on a canal or channel about two blocks from the beach, I can get my boat up to the sea wall behind the house for a few hours each day, the boat ramp is about a mile and a half away. This is a good set up, I wish it had a floating dock. Hog inlet has my respect. I bel...

Tide chart help

Okay, this may be a stupid one but I have to ask it. I have a tide chart app for my IPhone and of course understand that low tide= low water, high tide= higher water. I understand that the measurements are the change in water levels but what is the low measurement based on ? For example low tide of....

Re: Plumbertuck at cherry grove

A good day on the water. We got some sun, fished and OH Yeah....nearly sank the boat. The wind was up, tide running out pretty heavy surf and swells into the inlet, Ellie, Brittany and I had run a mile or so offshore and watched some pelicans diving for fish, on the return run into the inlet we ran ...
