Nothing on this thread has anything to do with the performance of the DE23 so whether or not one has been launched is entirely irrelevant. The discussion here is not about "improving" something we know nothing about. It's simply about changing internal accomodation space to satisfy indivi...

Has anyone ever finished a DE23? I read all of this blurb about bigger and wider. Still, I ask: Has anyone ever finished and launched a DE23? How did it perform? No answer? :?: If you can't answer this question then you have no business talking about how to improve something you know nothing about. ...

I built an enclosed head in my DE23. It's right behind the helm station. The galley went on the port side and I offset the door to the pilot house and got rid of the dinette (It's way too small to be of use). I plan to actually use the V-berth and I do not, repeat: do not sleep with porta-pottis :x

I think you're all under the influence of "Two-footitis". What are the performance reports on the DE23? Without a point of reference, it's impossible to say that two feet more are going to be a good idea. I have yet to finish my DE23 and I wouldn't mind another project when it's done, but ...

Do you have a estimated launch date yet?

I just cut out the openings for the side windows on my DE23. I'm custom building wood frames to get a specific "look". The shapes shown in the drawing don't have any construction details that I've found.

"using screws to temporarly hold them together while the epoxy set."

Don't be stingy with the screws. Use plenty to make certain everything stays put.

I just posted a new picture of the boat. It's raining so hard here the animals have started to line up two-by-two.

Woodbike,
The boat is looking very, very good. I've got the roof on my DE23 two weeks ago, but the weather has kept me indoors the past two weeks. Pictures coming next week.
