Phantom 16 builders

I launched my ph16 last month and it performed great. It handles better than my old 17' Mako. It took me 6 summers to complete the job but it was well worth the time and money. I'll post pictures soon. I'm running a 1990 90 hp Mercury with a 17" pitch prop but its slow getting up on plane. Top ...

Dave, I bought 2 pair of heavy duty yellow paint striper gloves at a local lumber yard for $4.00. They can be used over and over again. I use them for large epoxy applications and the latex gloves for detail work.

I'm glad to hear that you guys like your random orbit sanders. I burned out 2 Porter Cable 5" random orbit sanders sanding the outside of my PH16 hull. ($120.00). So, I purchased a Porter Cable heavy duty 5" random orbit sander and my son who was helping me dropped it and bent the shaft. (...

PH16 foam flotation

I'm about to install the flooring in my Phantom 16. Can anyone tell me if 500 lbs. of foam flotation is enough for this boat? (That's 2 gallons of liquid 2 part foam.)

Thanks, Decal

I forgot to tell you that the primer dry's overnight and the Brightside paint takes 2 days to dry between coats and 8 days to fully cure.
