Hi gk108, That is one fine looking canoe... Well Done. I finished my NC16, Knysna Loerie, last summer, and have had some good times in her. I've been reading this thread, and thought I'd give my offering on seating. 2 garden chairs ($9.99 ea ), and some gardening knee pads ($1.00 ea from the $$$stor...

Steve, The truth is, I didn't use a primer... figured this was my learning curve, and I had had enough of sanding, and the supplier I got the paint from said it did not need priming... I took his word for it. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/12504/052305%20068.jpg http://gallery.bateau2.co...

Glad to see the mast taking 'the correct' shape. That's the beauty of building your own boats. Hiccups like that just take time, and sometimes money, but are most often overcome. Can't say too much about the roller question, other than relate my personal experience. I used the thin foam roller. Mine...

Rich, Take heart, I think all newbies have a dose of the runs. I found using a thin foam roller helped prevent it. Don't tell anyone, but I actually rolled and tipped my final coats of epoxy. Went from this http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/12504/050405%20002.jpg to this http://gallery.bate...

My lack of fainess IS my non-skid. :o I left my NC16 inside clear, and somehow regret not covering my mistakes with fairing and paint. I also spent so long on the outside that I couldn't wait for myself to go the same route on the inside. However, having said that, I am able to enjoy the boat with n...

Re: FL 14
(1)Thanks, I'm happy with it! ......... (2)BTW, Lorraine is very much better now, thanks - and we are particularly relieved that there does not appear to be any permanent damage to the optic nerve. 1. And so you should be. Don't fret too much about the rain... drought leads to dried up lakes and ri...

Hi Dave, Let's see if I can help. Login, and go to the 'builder galleries' page. Somewhere is a link to 'create/order' your albums. Click on new, give it a name, and now click on 'upload picture' link at the top of the page. Find the pic on your computer, fill in the blanks, click 'submit', and Voil...

Seating Feedback.
Here's a picture of the final product. I put a layer of ply between the seat and the kneepads... used cable ties to fix the ply to the seat, some duct tape to first attach the pads to the ply, ... Red Green would be proud of me !!! http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/12504/060405%20022.jpg Ja...
