White vinegar will work pretty well, but honestly I didn't bother to clean all those things. You can use really cheap brushes for epoxy. I never bothered to clean cups either - I just waited until the epoxy cured and then pulled the cured epoxy out.

You could also use the one you have as a template for a router with a template following bit. Just cut the second one out a bit larger than the first and trim it to size with the router. Of course, that requires a router.

You can also try sifting the graphite to get out some of the lumps.

Scary stuff. I doubt I'll find pirates on the reservoirs here, which is good, since I doubt a full auto stoner would fit very nicely into my D5.
