Re: FS14 feels like it's wagging it's tail a little
Where is the cavitation plate of the motor relative to the bottom of the boat? My motor was too low and I had to raise the motor 2 inches to get it right. Opps...I read the info....3/4 above.

Re: Seat Idea
Leaning back in a seat like that would introduce some serious list to a small craft. In addition, you'd be placing weight in a place that adds to instability. Any move on your passengers' part to the same side of the boat could produce conditions the opposite of relaxing or comfortable. Unless you ...

Re: Seat Idea
If the hand rail is just high enuf to clear a flotation cushion that would be used for sitting on, I can go for that. Then the question is, how far down does the backrest have to go, assuming I (or anyone) is sitting on a typical floatation cushion, you know the type of cushion that you are not supp...

Now the only thing to do is to try to keep the cost down. Through bolted galv.steel would probably be the cheapest. Not that I'm a cheapskate, but...

Re: Seat Idea
Wow is right. I woke up a sleeping giant. Sorry Cracker for coming down on you, but I sincerely thought you were kidding me. Those seats were not what I was thinking of exactly, but if the concept is to slide into two tubes, then it's similar. Mine would be 90 degrees different thaan those. And it w...

Re: Seat Idea
My buddy Raymond builds a lot of those. About 10 a week. Yeah, it's been done before. I was under the impression that this was supposed to be a helpful site. I think you may be living up to your user name. I can only assume that this was satirical. But who knows, How about a little more info if it'...

Seat Idea
I have an idea on a backrest design and thought I'd pass it by to see if it's been done b4. On a typical bench seat, you could put two steel tubes (one on each side) that could be used as rod holders and could be used to put a back rest into. These tubes would have to be mounted strongly and into th...
