XF-20
I have built an XF-20. Photos can be seen at flickr.com/photos/sandyclaws/ . I have a 30hp Merc and the best I could get out of it with a 3-bladed cupped prop is about 18mph(gps). If I ever change the motor, it will be to a 50 hp 4 stroke 4 blade double cupped prop. If you ever have any questions th...

Is stitch and glue not strong?

One for Jacques?
:?: These questions concerns the difference between the harbormaster 18 flat bottom and the HMD18. (If you were to power them each with a 15 HP motor) In the HMD writeup you state that the displacement hull would be more comfortable in rougher conditions than her sister ships. Isn't a wider, flat bo...

Otherwise, still undecided but will probably donate it.
Thanks everybody! 'preciate the advice!

 I bought this 18ft bayliner bowrider with volvo/penta 270 I/O with a galvanized trailer sometime back. I got a good deal and basically bought it for the trailer for the boat I was going to build. Anyway, I built the XF20 and although it will hold up to a 21ft boat it wouldn't hold the beam. So...

XF 20 prop ventilation
:?: Can any body tell me where to get a cupped or double cupped 4 blade propeller :?: I found a michigan vortex aluminum 4 blade but no cupping was mentioned. I have a 2000, 30 hp Mercury 2 stroke. I am getting some ventilation or cavitation. What is the best way to tell the difference :?:  Tha...

XF 20 boat noise
Didn't think about the sonar depth machine.
Do they make an audible sound? I don't remember hearing anything in my bass tracker. I will try turning that off though. Thanks!
When and if I do find the noise, I will let everyone know
