Re: Garvey 15 (GV15) Aluminum / Aluminium

I can't wait to see your progress with this project. I think it's a great idea. I've been eyeing several of Jacques' designs for aluminum construction. I built the PK78 in aluminum as a proof of concept and it worked out great! Good luck to you with this project.

Re: Novi 23 Launched

Nice work! She's beautiful!

I bought those plans a while ago but I haven't started the project yet, too busy with other tasks.

How is the ride? Can you share any performance numbers with us?

Re: HM-19 Scribing / Plans Issue

Hello Jacques, Thanks for the speedy reply. Yes, we are talking about sheet D220/6. The issue is with the second drawing from the top and I think your 24” measurement is the answer to my question. However, you now opened up another question... On this same sheet (D220/6), in your answer, you called ...

HM-19 Scribing / Plans Issue

Hello All, I am in the process of scribing / lofting out all of the parts for the HM-19. I am pretty far into the process and this is my second Bateau boat, so I feel that I have a pretty good grasp of the process and I am comfortable with it. Thats why I'm surprised that I’m stumped here... My prob...

Re: Aluminum PK78

I also kept VERY close watch of my time on this project. From the time that I opened the plans envelope to splash time as you see in these pics, I have 23 hours in the project. The plans call out for 30. I believe I can have the boat painted and "show ready" before I get to the 30 hour mar...

Re: Aluminum PK78

I was totaly guessing about the 75 pounds. I'll try to get a more acurate measurement before it leaves the shop and I'll post back to you guys. This boat is made of 1/8" aluminum. If I build another PK78, I will use a lighter gauge metal. 1/8" was not needed. In the swamp test, the water l...

Re: Aluminum PK78

I used 1/8" throughout. I should have used thinner material. 1/8" was not necessary. I was worried about warping so I went heavy.
