Re: Greek CV 16 Construction Pictures
Thanks for the input guys. Karl thanks for the tie down tip with the bungee cords to help with the kick up. I realize that by keeping the original dimensions of the CB it would perform as per design BUT I truly believe that if it was a little longer it would be a little better. Originally its ...

Re: Greek CV 16 Construction Pictures
This is the original dimensions of the CB
We want to lengthen it for better stability, Is this going to be OK
What would be the best dimensions?

Re: Greek CV 16 Construction Pictures
Well the holidays are over and we are back to working on the boat. Happy New year everyone :D After wet sanding the primer with 400 grit I took ks8’s advice and rechecked the adhering specs and I re-sanded with 320 just to be safe. (thanks for catching that Karl) http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/us...

Re: Greek CV 16 Construction Pictures
I used 400 grit because I am painting the hull Black, and as we all know Black is the worst color for imperfections.
A lot of work went into the finish so that I could eliminate any pin holes or orange peel that may appear. Two coats of polyethylene and then it’s time to turn her over.

Re: Greek CV 16 Construction Pictures
This is the new trailer for the CV it has been modified by extending the neck about 1m. The reason that we have done this is because we have a shallow ramp. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/37454/normal_Photo1012.jpg Did I mention that we "Finished Sanding"... Finally  (I ha...

Greek CV 16 Construction Pictures
Sanding is finally finished It is my true belief that the only difference between Men and Boys is how you Finish  (sanding that is) Our sanding sequence was 80 grit to start 120 main sanding 240 then 320 finishing 400 wet sanding (smother than a baby's bottom) Using a laser to lay out the wate...

Re: Greek CV 16 Construction Pictures
Fitting the Keel Shoe After all the sanding finishing it was time to place the Keel Shoe. I had to help the plywood bend to the hull a little and then I applied a generous amount of epoxy and leveled everything out and we let it harden. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/37454/normal_Photo1...
