Re: CX19 progress updates Perth WA

Hi yes there will be a porthole on each side but I could not decide on which one yet. There is one on the roof of the cabin that will let through light and can be opened fully. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/12901/normal_DSCF5607.JPG I like the shape of the front one but it may be too bi...

Re: CX19 progress updates Perth WA

Just a quick update for the CX19. The first coats of color are now on. The fit out will be next and just finalizing the details of what is going in first to be able to get on the water. What a journey but it has turned amazing so far. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/12901/normal_A0879F20-...

Re: CX19 progress updates Perth WA

Although it is not me building the boat now it will be finished by the end of the year. It has been a long journey, but it will be worth the wait. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/12901/normal_IMG_1068.JPG http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/12901/normal_IMG_1069.JPG http://gallery....

Re: CX19 progress updates Perth WA

:D me too, I can start doing the fun plumbing stuff now :P I went back through and updated as many image and url links as I could and pointed to the new site. Looks like a lot of the images were broken from the last forum and image gallery migration, I did not notice before, but other topics I did n...

Re: CX19 progress updates Perth WA

Back again, I completed glassing the bottom panels this weekend. Was a big job but am glad it is now done. I did the two bottom panels together and slowly worked my back to the transom. I had to start the day sanding the panel overlap, then once cleaned up I could begin mixing the epoxy. Saturday wa...

Re: CX19 progress updates Perth WA

Hi again, This weekend I began the cloth on the inside of the hull. I managed to do the side panels and will have to do the bottom panels next weekend, I ran out of time. It was a long day. I mixed small pots and and applied all day Saturday and then this morning I filled the weave and made sure whe...

Re: CX19 progress updates Perth WA

Thanks for the update Tom, I understand how it should work now. For some reason I thought it was for strength only and hence my question if it can be underneath the cloth. I see that it is a drainage channel now so should make sense that it is above  Now that I don't have to worry about the lo...

Re: CX19 progress updates Perth WA

Hi again, I am on to the next task of doing the inside cloth for the hull. I need to look at the plans again but I have realized for a while now the clamping board is too narrow for the outboard engine mount bolt hole pattern. It looks I need to laminate some ply and glue underneath the wooden clamp...

Re: Post Your Bateau Video Links Here!

An update to the above link, trying to organise videos and put on a faster server.
http://stitchandglue.hobby-site.com/video/. If you see value in me talking in them, I will. They kind of started for myself as a reference to look back on.
Cheers,
