I actually had the same question regarding the tiller. I'm not sure that I follow why the ss straps are needed if the tiller has "ears" at the wide end to fit around the rudder. Are they just for reinforcing the tiller?

C12 Fibreglass Cloth

Can somebody give me some direction on how to cut and apply the fibreglass cloth to the bottom of the C12?

In the kit there is 4 yds (12 lf) of 50" 6oz cloth. There is enough to cover the bottom length-wise, but I don´t see how there will be enough to cover the bottom and go 6" up t...

This weekend, I am planing on taping the outside seams on my c12 and then fibreglassing the entire bottom. Anybody got pics of a completed C12?

I had the same thoughts about the foam - those seem like the most logical spots.

I also have been thinking about adding oarlocks as well, but I haven´t got much further than that. I figure that is something that can be added just before finishing...

Anybody got pics of a completed C12?

Tim -

I thought I might have been the only current C12 builder - it is good to hear there is another.

Are you planning on the marconi or sprit rig? I think I´ll end up doing the marconi option because I´ve got a buddy with a set of sails and mast that I can get cheap which should matc...

Anybody got pics of a completed C12?

I am currently "in progress" on my C12. I´ve got about half of the inside seams glassed - so there is still a long ways to go.

I´d like to compare/ share notes with anybody else who is building or planning to build one!

C12 Frame Question

Thanks...

That is how I did it - I drew the centerline for all three parts first and then began by doing the layout for the two frames first. That was when I noticed that the seat top would not fit if the frames were cut to the dimensions on the station details.

Was I correct though, b...
