Re: GV11 questions
Hi Been a while but we are finally back to the US and going to start our build soon... We recently ran into another boat with a GV10 and it was awesome!! Is the hull shape more or less the same between the GV11 and GV10? In particular the height of the bow and the width of the stern? I copy pasted t...

Re: GV11 questions
Hi Our crew is slight heavier than yours so we will build the GV11 for ease of planing. For transport it will be either towed or on the sugar scoop instead of modified to nest. Keep it simple stupid. Also we are currently used to an inflatable so the wider beam of the gv11 will assist for stability....

Re: Motor/Sail/Row Nesting Dinghy for 5 Adults
Hi This is intended as a yacht tender not a cartopped dinghy - my bad. My crew is not 5 adults but we will nearly always have supplies with use to increase the load the boat must carry. Here is a sketch I was think about. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/13016/normal_Sketch_2012-11-19_20_1...

Motor/Sail/Row Nesting Dinghy for 5 Adults
Hi I am looking for a dinghy that I can build to ferry back and forth from the dock/beach to my boat. Needs: 1) Carry 4 to 5 adults with adequate free board to avoid getting soaked going through the surf 2) Store on deck in pieces that weight 50lbs or less 3) Be able to get on plane with full load o...

Hi Jacques - I know that the sprit can come down but will need a larger sail to do it. I would appreciate a bit of guidance on that aspect of the rig. I am not completely convinced that the rig is balanced especially when the main sail is against the sprit with reduced efficiency and the jib isn't b...
