Hey Tim, I haven't been following the board lately..."Trying" to paint. We've got a 1996 Evinrude 15" shaft 15 Hp to use that's just laying around. It should top out around 25mph according to the plans. Larry's boat turned out great. No gps #s but it runs nicely and the 25 is a good m...

Tim, you've got some nice mods there. Will be interesting to see that tunnel in action...anything to keep the lower unit from hitting is good LOL.

That panga is looking great.

When do you estimate a float date?
Any idea what $ you think you've got invested total?
Your build looks like a quality reference for future builders. Seems to be a popular style with alot of interest.

Keep up the good work!

If worried about stiffness you might extend the runners forward more. Like JM says they are structural.

Steve, saw pics of your boat finally complete. Looks great. Did your graphite turn out smooth? Hows it holding up? I visited you briefly while staying with my sister in law in April. You were working on the livewell and "badlatitude" showed up. I'll have to give you a ring next time I'm do...

My neighbor is ready to paint his old Carolina Skiff top to bottom with Lowes marine paint. White top, navy blue bottom. Have to see how his job goes. Ought to be entertaining at least...

Joel, I'm going with what you prefer. Roll the primer...

Any preference on applying the S3 Paint? I'm tinting it 1.5 oz color to .5 gallon.

Thanks

Thanks guys, good info. My can doesn't give a % on it to thin. It says you can do a water or 50%water/50%rubbing alcohol mix and thin to the primer. My neighbor does have a cheap spray gun setup I can use outside if that will get better results than just rolling. I plan to do interior and exterior a...

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm running out of fairing supplies so it looks like I might be ordering more. Joel, I thought max 25% on the graphite? I've got the 1 Lb bag. Think this will do the flat bottom of the GF16? timbou, that 12 oz fabric sucks up alot of epoxy. I can't remember what it took but...
