Yes, I'd guess heavy. My experience with 3 pickup commercially applied truck bed liners is that they seem to almost double the weight of the tailgate.

I'm thinking about building a FS-14 with stick steering mounted on either the side of the middle seat or on a small console just ahead of the middle seat. Some say sand can be abrasive to bare feet and bikini bottoms. Probably should experiment with sand density or thickness first.
I bought a small package cheap at Home Depot of a rubber granular additive for painted exterior stairways. Works good.
I can't find anything on this site.
