Thanks everyone for the good advice. I was wondering other than reconfiguiring the rear seat is there much other down side to lowering the transom 5"?

I am almost finished with a Garvey 14. I would like to make 2 modifications and I wonder what the down sides might be and the best approach to doing them. 1.
