I built and own an fs18. I built mine strictly for fishing the creeks around the St.augustine area and for duck hunting(it's narrow and easy to hide) I used to guide on the St.Johns river and there is no way I would recommend the fs18 for that use. I used Dyco safety deck sealed with system 3 clear on my XF20. Held up great and cleaned up very easy. It leaves a pretty aggressive non skid though.

Jim, The water is as high as I've ever seen it. We had well over 20" of rain here last week. The fishing in dunns creek is hit or miss. The bed fishing in the canals off of dunns creek can be real good in the spring time, and if you want to catch big catfish in the summer it's usually dependabl...

I,and several of my friends are interested in building a boat to these rules. This class is currently raced in the midwest. I was wondering if there was any interest among other builders, I think it could potentially turn into something fun. Ron Baker a record holding racer used to put on boat races...

Bob, I too ran into the same problem when using auto primer for a guide coat, Even the primer labeled as sandable. I just thought I would let you know that I tried the graphite powder tonight and it worked very well. Thanks for the tip. By the way your boat looks great.

St. augustine and Crescent Beach are my stomping grounds. I'll gladly show you around when you get here. The fishing can be real good here in the summer.The flounder bite has been great the last few years.It's a beautiful city, you'll enjoy it. Brian

Yep, there are going to be lots of dead snook here too. The snook fishing in the palm coast area has been pretty consistent the last couple of years, due to the warm winters.
