Re: stretched DE25

Double the bottom fiberglass.
Also, check the max. recommended HP first. If you plan go install more like many do, that also requires an increase in fiberglass.

Re: GP21 Hull Ride / Behavior Questions

All the comments above make sense. Those boats, Panga 25 and GP21 are very different. Despite the shorter length, the GP21 is a bigger boat but the hull shape is very different. The Panga will run smoother in a formed sea. The PG25 will have a smoother transition from displacement to planing speeds,...

Re: DE23 question for Jacques

Sorry, no inboard option.

Yes, you can omit the cabin and build a console but why not start with a console boat like the C21?

Re: Deadrise OB15

It's technically possible to get an OB15 on plane with an electric outboard but check the cost. Your outboard, batteries, chargers etc.. will cost you several times more than the materials for the hull, probably 10 times at today's prices. However, things are changing fast in that area. Within 10 ye...

Re: Question for Jacques

Only a few of those boats will accept a large console with a small head. The CS23 and maybe the GP21.

Re: TW28 build in steel?

Correct about the weight but Al is not as stiff as our plywood epoxy. An Al hull will require more framing, shorter panel span. All that is possible but it should be done by an experienced aluminum builder or designer. Get the Dave Gerr book, Elements of Boat Strength. It's easy to read and will tel...

Re: PG25 Motor Well Sides & Stringer Question

Excellent. It will be much easier to follow the recommended parts installation sequence. I like to use plywood spacer between the two parts.

Re: PG25 Motor Well Sides & Stringer Question

Edited. Looking at my 3D model, I see what happened. I expected the builder to install the stringers, do all the stringers tabbing then install the MW side before the installation of the cleats. At that stage, it is tight but still possible to get fiberglass in between. It is also possible to instal...

Re: OC17 plans - frame spacing and panel dimensions?

The dimensions are there. Please do not scale from blueprints, I give all dimensions on the plans. Look at what Reid explained and it should work. If not, I will help. Please be patient, I check the forum once a day.
