if you did a search for wood rot you would probably find a an elequent explanation of how these boats don't rot so i won't try to be elequent. I'm not even sure if i spelled it right :roll: . look at the new fl26. It will cruise happily at displacement speeds, but will jump up and semi plane close to 20mph. It is what i would like to build myself for west coast day cruising and fishing.

Thanks tom. Looks like fs17 workboat style layout. I am thinking that i will do as my sturgeon guide on the columbia has on his north river boat. His is open, workboat style with 6 pedestal bases spaced out through the boat. So depending on how many clients he has he can adjust his seating. For hims...

sounds good to me. :D Mays-N-Haynes said his od does the mid twenties with an old 25 as well. Fast enough for me. Don't think I will go wrong either way. Thanks for the help guys. Quick question, why is the fs hull so much lighter than the od16?
