Re: Jeff's C12

Showed my assistant (11 y/o grandaughter) how to filet and tape. She enjoyed it. We'll see how she feels about sanding in a few weeks. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/14141/normal_IMG_9735.jpg http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/14141/normal_IMG_9739.JPG http://gallery.bateau2.com/...

Re: Jeff's C12

I got a little farther along thanks to the long weekend. I also built a rolling stand to elevate it some. Time for filets and tape.

C12 mid frame question

Cutting the mid frame for my C12. The frame will be divided by the center board trunk and the notes tell me to cut the frame later in the build process. Do I need to just cut the frame on the center line and leave a few tabs or do I need to cut the 1" thickness of the center board trunk out of ...

Jeff's C12

Started my C12 Saturday. Cutting frames, sides, and bottom. It's been 13 years since I built a boat and my back is reminding me I'm getting old. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/14141/59623668561__2B989F2F-C5E0-463A-8229-AFEEF5B22B9C.JPG http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/14141/596...

Re: C12 Mast

I just bought the C12 plans and the mast is also my biggest concern. This will be a budget build and if I remember correctly, I have seen a post where Jacques stated a wooden square mast would work fine. Not to hijack your thread but would a square mast glued up out of 1x3 spruce with rounded corner...

Row Boat

Hi All! It’s been a long time since I’ve been on here. BBV has got me again. I would like to build a small mainly rowing boat with my 10 year old granddaughter. Something to primarily row on a small lake but possibly to sail also (after we learn how). I was looking at the pk78 but could not find the...
