It looks like I will be going with a rider on my homeowner's insurance to cover the liability, motor, and the trailer but I am going to self insure the boat. If I can build it, I certainly can fix it! Just need to make sure that it does not get stolen, burned, or termites! Thnaks for all of the input.

Trouble getting insurance
I have been trying to get insurance on my D15 and my agent has come up with nothing unless I get a marine survey. Has anyone had any issues with this and if you were able to solve it, who did you go to fo the insurance?? Also, does anyone have any idea on the cost of a survey and what the process is...

That sounds very similar to what I have been thinking of. I have been bouncing around the idea ove keeping it low enough to put a seat on it and have a compartment below for storage or to just keep it simple just as you have. Righ now I just have a board that I am going to try out to see how it work...

Finally... she is in the water. Yesterday we had a successful launch of my D15. Ran the new motor with no trouble and made some adjustments to it to get it to plane better.
