Re: Butt joints or Scarf Joints
As mentioned in the thread, not necessary but if you want to beef up a butt joint you can plane down both sides of the joint to accommodate 12 oz biax and lay that in over the butt joint. I did that on my PH18. Didn't need to but wanted to.

Re: LM18 Houston Tx
For my PH18 I found a guy in Spring who made some custom aluminum grab bars and rod holders. Worked out great. Let me know if you'd like his contact info.ericwensel wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 11:01 pm I am still trying to find someone to do the aluminum work.

restore pictures to my old thread?
Greetings, all. It has been a long while since I've posted on the forum, but I still drop by every few weeks to see what's going on. Tonight I tried to see some old pics from my PH18 "Yepper" thread and the pictures are not visible. Instead, there is a square mountain graphic with "Im...

Re: FS14- Bayou City Boat
OQ, there's a chance I may still have the jig I made to route out a recess to allow flush fitting my hatch hinges. If you haven't bought hinges yet and want to use the same gemlux ones I used I'd be happy to give the jig to you. This is what I wound up with: http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpic...

Anyone got good suggestions for building simple hatch lids without doing the mold. I was thinking of using 3/8 and glassing both side. I don’t need anything fancy no round corners square is fine. Maybe there is a thread somewhere??? I made my hatches from 3/8 ply and have been very happy with them....

Re: PH 22 Build
SC, I wouldn't worry about it. I had the opposite issue with my PH18 stringers. I remeasured very carefully and came out with the same result: http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/55484/normal_SAM_0283.JPG I planed the stringers down and moved on. I've built 1 boat, so take it for what that's ...

You could put your required throwable pfd in part of that space.

Your boat looks fantastic. The level of finish is just amazing.
Re the air lock, do you think it's a matter of pump pressure? Would it be possible to put an Attwood model in which has more output capacity?
