I have ripped up the sole and found some of the stringers were shot but a few were solid like a rock so I didnt remove them. I have also cut the plywood for the sole and glued/fiberglassed the supports. Hopefully I'll have some pictures up tomarrow.

Take the boat to a remote location and tie the boat to big tree. Then make sure the boat is not attached to the trailer and drive away. Now you have a trailer.

Ernesto!

Anyone on the gulf coast watching this one? This could be the first good one of the season, except this season I have a sailboat to worry about.

ALWAYS check your tarp

If you have a boat with a tarp on it, always remember to check it. I had forgot to check mine for about a week (its kepted where you cant see it from the house) and I found that it had so much rain water built up that it ripped my $150 tarp in half! I though I had it secured it but it came loose. :(...

Sail cleaning

I just boat an older 22' santana sailboat and the main sail it came with has dirty areas on the sail. Whats the best way to clean a sail? I heard you can use a gental soap and water to scrub with but I dont know.
