Re: Would a 8-10 gal baitwell be OK?
I put a 5 gal. cut out in my nephew's 12' skiff and it worked great if you don't mind keeping the Mr. Bubbles D cells alive. The advantage of a permanent well on anything larger is that you can plumb it with a feed and drain and a 12V permanent Mr. Bubbles. You never forget to bring the shrimp bucke...

Home Depot sells black polyethylene 1/2"×1/2" mesh that works great as a shrimp rest. I used ice maker tubing to frame the bottom against the sides to keep the shrimp from crawling behind the mesh.

Re: FS17 Ls vs Regular sheer
I have stuffed my FS17 regular sheer into waves twice. Both times nearly stopping from 23 mph+. Both times stayed dry. Reduced sheer would have been a lot more exciting....

Re: Experimental FS12
It is getting used between the usual social engagements typical of 15 yr. old boys. Several aborted trips due to the ancient Evinrude 15 hp. I think most of the gremlins have been fixed. Nice riding boat. One construction error needs repair. The 'A' bulkhead is foam sandwiched with glass and I trimm...

Re: Layout dreaming/designing (FS17)
Trolling motors change the balance a good bit. I started with the console a little forward of the recommended location thinking that the TM would only be part time and that I would always have a second ice chest aft. The TM stays onboard ful time and one nice sized ice chest with a fish bag works fo...

Re: FS14LS or DS15 or PH15 or somthing else?
There have been a few ways guys attach their splash rails, from screws, scraps and taping them. You have a little time to find your way of doing it. Some like to get everything faired up and then attach them and other like to attach them right after the glass is laid. [/quote] I found that the easie...
