Wow, lots of good ideas.
Thanks everyone for the ideas! :)
I am going to try cutting down some oak. If that does not work well, I'll try something else.
Thanks again!

What wood to use for rubrails? (PK78)

O.K. What have folks had success with in choosing wood for rubrails. I'm not going to use teak or mahogany (too pricy). From the photos it looks like some people have used pine but I don't know if that will hold up well. I couls just laminate some 1/4" ply.... Or maybe rip some oak into 1/4 str...

I think what I'll do is leave the bow and stern seats watertight with screw in covers.

I don't know when I'll be able to put my Wing 25 in again. (Need more money.) :(

Hi ks8,

Do you mean foam under the bow and stern seats?

I'm thinking about it.

BTW, how to I get a pic in a message? :?:

Hi,

Wow, bummer.

I almost did the same thing. I bought epoxy in gallons and got the pumps. Wouldn't ya know, I put the pumps on the wrong containers. #-o

Something told me to mix up a test batch before using any on the boat, I did and caught the mistake.

Stuff happens... :)

Good Luck!
