Has the opportunity presented itself To get some performance data on the boat? All up weight, speeds at each 200rpm increment, estimated draft at each 500rpm increment?
Still hoping for some good data, some good video, and an understanding of what the performance means to you.

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia
Looks like she’s following some of the known experiences from as-designed Rescue Minors and Shoals Runners that were built. As she goes faster she runs her forefoot deeper. She will do very well with spray rails forward, gives a little bump of lift where the hull needs it most, and will keep her dri...

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia
You can clearly see how springy the sheer is when she’s out on her own on the water. Looks lovely, glad you finally got past the transmission issues. Will be interesting to dump a little pitch and get the engine bouncing off the rev limiter when loaded light with one person. In agreement that prop s...

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia
That’s the general idea. Tunnel outflow is a key component to how this thing runs. Very curious what it looks like and how it performs. Trim at all speeds, so at rest to wide open and back to idle would give great data, shot from a boat beside you. Rooster tails or odd spray Is good to catch. Runnin...

Video.
Video of the wake, the bow wave, from the transom, side, run in shallow and deep water, in a chop, up and down swell.
Video, even if it is failure time and you’re limping or being towed.

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia
So with the way this damper plate is constructed I’m wondering if it is not giving enough ‘slop’ and relying on the pins too much. Essentially acting as a coupler exclusively and not damping things enough to tolerate vibration. It boggles my mind that it is breaking those diameter of pins with how l...

Can you put up a photo of what’s left of your damper plates?

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia
It’s been a bit since I’ve checked in but I’m still dying to see this thing on the water and operating. Seeing this has me asking some questions. As someone who has a 260hp engine connected to a Borg Warner 71c transmission, which is spinning a 13”x11.5” wheel, which has some half-assed alignment do...

Re: CS 25 inboard diesel engine?
Stian, the LB26 would be the right hull for your engine, and would be a lovely hull for your waters as well.

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia
Life has a way of modifying our plans from time to time. Between work constraints, a few large honey-do projects, a busy 6 year old, and some volunteer groups I work with, the boat building has been less consistent. There's a SOF kayak partially underway in the shop, and soon I will be building a re...
