According to the study plans I'd need 6, 9 and 13 mm thick plywood. However, I can only get 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15 mm thickness. So what would be the best alternative for the 9 and 13 mm plywood specified (taking weight and strength into account)?

I see your point; the angle of the gaff determines its name. As the angle of gaff in the bottom picture is about the same as on the Valk in the top picture, that"s what I wanted to go for. But taking this confusion into account; is it still a suitable rig?

Isn't a Gunter rig too complex to build yourself?

I thought it might be costly to have a Gunter rig made to suit the Corsair, so I tried to find something ready made. One more question popped to mind: if a Gunter rig is okay, what size (m^2) mainsail and jib would you suggest and is there a limitation for the mast height? Thanks again Jacques! True what you say about the history of the Valk. I believe it was designed and built by order of the Bruynzeel company just before WWII to show the world what their new plywoodlike product could be used for.
