On my 21' offshore boat I noticed the deck has a diamond imprint in the surface. How can I do that on my deck?

Ok this was my first seam ever using FG tape. I pre coated the panel poured a litle expoxy on applied the tape and rolled, used a Squeegee, rolled, used a Squeegee, used a Squeegee, rolled, used a Squeegee, it took forever to get all the excess expoy to come though the tape and out. http://gallery.b...
