BTW, what a great addition, the CNC cut MDF board. Man, that would have saved inestimable time in my project.

If one is going to coat the bottom with epoxy resin/graphite, is it necessary to prime coat the bottom of the hull if it has already been glassed and faired? Will the primer form a better bond than glass/resin that has been sanded?

In going through the photos, it appears that the bottom, everything below splash rails, was primed, then painted with expoxy/graphite, then re-primed. What is the primary purpose of the epoxy/graphite? Strength?

I am just about done fairing my Panga 20 and plan on coating 2/3rd's-3/4ths of the bottom with epoxy resin/graphite. The front of the bottom below the splash rails will be painted in Sterling. I will not paint sides until the boat is finished. My question, is should I buy for the entire job, or buy ...
