Re: Super Light SC16

Double shame! A retired man should be able to go fishing at least once a week if the weather is good :P

Re: Boat sank

Rash of boat sinking all over. Up this way we had a 50 foot seiner ice up and roll over taking six with it. The sea is indeed a mighty mistress.

Re: GF14 in France

That is a heck of a fish! Did you catch it by yourself? Must have been a real battle getting 220 pounds of fish into the boat :!: :!: You are sure making good use of the boat. How does the fish taste?

Re: Rough Cost for Gel Coat?

Most of the building done on this site is done using epoxy. Gel Coat does not work with epoxy so you might get much help here with gel coat. Most boats here are painted. Where I live 90% of the work boats are painted. High end paint will last a long time and shine better.

Re: C17 as tiller?

A tiller build is much simpler and less money to build. It sure seems like simple boats are worked on less and get used more..............but that might be just me :D

Re: DE23 for VT Jeff

The birth of the Tolmans is 80 miles down the road from me so I have seen a ton of them. They are good solid boats but I think you will be much happier with a DE build. The build method is much different than what you are used to and that alone is enough reason to go with a DE. I will say both JM an...
