Re: Old outboard (15hp Johnson) rehab
Those outboards and the 30hp triple Yamaha are two of the best two strokes ever made. Just a ton of power for their weight. As for changing out the water pump it is no big deal. Hardest part may be getting the leg apart.

Did that feel like you were flying? How did the boat at that speed?

Re: RB16 new build KY 1st timer
The guys are giving good advice and I would do as they have said. For me I would want the side panels to line up with the bottom. If you end up with a big gap at the bow for the side panels it is no big deal. Epoxy/wood flour will fix a lot of problems.

You are a far better man than me if you can get away with boat building stuff in the house
Need to post pictures as you go. It makes for a far better thread and better chance others will spot something to help with.

Re: New boat from elsewhere
I work in 55-60f all the time. It is inside and temps are steady. I use fast 90% of the time with no problems. Sometimes I will use slow and find it fully set and can be sanded by the next morning. If working outdoors with temp swings it might take longer for the epoxy to set up.

Dang that is fast! Does it track good or tend to get a little touchy at that speed?
