Re: Images from Kodiak AK
Yes, I brought home one deer. The limit is three but the population was so low we decided to shoot one each. We only shot the boys and left the girls to reproduce. My family really enjoys the venison. It's much better than moose and almost as tasty as Dall's Sheep.

Re: Images from Kodiak AK
Richard: I arrived home last night. I spent an extra day in Kodiak due to high winds. We were able to fish the Uganik River using my friends 21 foot gill netting skiff, but access to the river was limited (high tide). We encountered a significant number of bears each trip (15-20). Walking the bear t...

Richard:
Great photos. Thank you! Glad you were able to see some bears. I think I recognize the high sandy bank in the third photo (a deep eddy lies at the downstream end).
Did you catch any rainbows?

Hi Don: I would rate the Zolotone as a non-skid surface (better than regular paint only) but I don't think is matches a true non-skid product. In other words..... I'm happy with the zolotone as is, I have no slippery surface issues. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product. Make sure you post...

Re: Aripeka Angler's Strip Canoe
Paul, I am very interested to know how you sprayed this material on your kayak. I want to spray my canoe. Can you give me any info on what you thinned the varnish with and what type of spray rig you used? Thanks! Hi Richard: I used a HVLP conversion gun with a 1.4 mm needle and nozzle. I replaced t...

Re: Aripeka Angler's Strip Canoe
...I have had good luck with this product:
http://www.systemthree.com/store/pc/Spa ... sh-c28.htm
used it on the canoe in 2004, and re-coated in 2008, brush application
....sprayed it on the kayak decks this year and I'm very pleased with the final product
