Just make sure the epoxy is fully cured. How long that takes is a function of the type of epoxy, temperature, number of coats, etc. I once applied varnish over epoxy that I thought was cured, but wasn't. The varnish never hardened. It was a mess, but fortunately it was a fairly small piece.

Re: mini-cruiser plumbing questions
I like keeping things simple. For your question #3, I would use a bucket.

Re: CAUTION TENNESSEE BUILDERS!!
A similar situation exists in Maryland. When I registered my boat I had to pay a 6% tax on the value of all the materials in the boat, even though I had receipts to show I paid the 6% Maryland sales tax on the purchase of the materials. I argued that I had already paid the "Sales Tax" when...

Re: Nina LB22 Plan changes
One thing I was wondering about is the differences in speed per hours power predictions between Ninigret on the Atkin web site - 25hp = 18mph and Nina 30hp =18mph. My guess is the difference comes from Atkin making an optimistic prediction and Jacques being conservative. I have read elsewhere that ...

Re: Convert S&G plans to Ply on Frame?
The OP didn't ask SHOULD he convert one of these designs to ply on frame. He asked: So, my question is, is it possible for a designer to convert plans that were originally engineered for Stitch and Glue into plans for Ply on Frame? To which I would answer - sure, it is possible, but I can pretty muc...

Re: To CNC or Not to CNC...that is the question
It took me about 1 to 1-1/2 hours per sheet of plywood to measure, mark and cutout the pieces. The time per sheet varied depending on the number and complexity of the parts on the sheet. I spent almost 2,000 hours building my HM19, so the 40 or so hours I spent cutting the pieces was trivial.

Re: Set the clock on this box
Obviously this site is important to Jacques & company, but to us users it is a BOAT BUILDING forum, for Pete's sake. It is not a matter of life and death. Instead of sitting there with a stop watch to determine how long it takes for a post to post, go out and build a boat.
