Re: modifications to gf 16 new build
ok then. Can anyone tell me how to roll 12 oz tape over the runners on this boat? I rounded the edges with 1/4' bit prior to taping. I can't get the tape to lay down on the flat edge. I worked going back and forth smoothing it down and ended up pulling it of concerned that if I left it after the epo...

Re: modifications to gf 16 new build
I need more epoxy and might as well order paint while I'm at it. I want to use the high build primer because I want as smooth a surface as I can get it but I'm painting camo pattern on the outside and a solid matching color inside. Top coat has to be flat and I want a paint that will be thin. Not li...

Re: modifications to gf 16 new build
Tried for two hours to post pics last nite. Seems my phone camera is too good to be compatible with the website software as the pics are distorted when reduced enough to fit the format. Any ideas? Cracker Larry. How did you post the above pics? Wern't the pics from that particular thread lost? The w...

Re: modifications to gf 16 new build
Thanks again for all the help. I haven't posted for a while. I'm ready to run stringers for the sole and have a couple questions. I'm using yellow pine 1x 1. Should be placed over the runners a@ 16" apart 2. Given that I will run cross members to the stringers port to starboard at 1' intervals....

Re: modifications to gf 16 new build
Thanks for the reply. The bottom lays flat on jig with some pushing down on transom, feels slightly heavy in the nose. I'll check some measurements tomorrow. Maybe take bottom off. I had to use the ties to shift the bottom around somewhat when I laced it on. Will post tomorrow and try to get pics in...

Re: modifications to gf 16 new build
does anyone know how much rocker should be in the bottom? I noticed after I got the bottom zip tied to sides and flipped her over the transom was off the jig all the way a foot shy of the mid seat rear frame. Is this normal? I don't want to glass anything till i hear back. If it was there before I d...
